Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: May 2026 — Yesican + Inc.
Our Commitment
Yesican.app is built to serve people living with mobility, chronic illness, and accessibility needs. We are working to make the platform more accessible across different abilities, technologies, and circumstances.
Our Current Approach
We use accessibility practices informed by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. We do not currently make a formal conformance or legal-compliance claim. An independent accessibility assessment is planned before any such claim is made.
Technical Specifications
The technical approach includes semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA roles and states, CSS, and JavaScript. JavaScript is required for full functionality; critical public information is available without it.
Accessibility Features and Practices
This list describes our current accessibility-focused approach and is not a statement that every page or flow conforms to a particular standard.
- A skip navigation link and keyboard support for primary navigation and controls where implemented.
- Visible focus indicators and semantic HTML landmarks.
- Accessible names for icon controls and ARIA live regions for selected dynamic updates.
- A high-contrast display preference, text-size preferences, responsive layouts, and dark mode support.
- Right-to-left layout support for Arabic and a language selector for supported languages.
- Touch-target sizing considered in interface design.
- Controls for media playback and reduced-motion support where implemented; a design practice that avoids flashing content.
- Visually impaired access page with an optional spoken guide, natural or device voice choices, and keyboard controls.
Known Limitations
- User-uploaded images: third-party seller images may not include alternative text.
- Ride-tracking map: the map has limited screen-reader support; a text-based status alternative is displayed alongside it.
- PDF documents: externally linked PDFs may not be fully accessible; text alternatives are provided where possible.
Report an Accessibility Issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email accessibility@yesican.app. We review accessibility feedback and use it to prioritize improvements. You can also send accessibility feedback through our support form.
Assessment Approach
Our current assessment approach includes self-evaluation and accessibility testing tools. We plan to commission an independent third-party WCAG 2.2 assessment and involve the adaptive community in testing major features before making a conformance claim.
